Join award winning photographer and Sony Digital Imaging Advocate, Dylan Giannakopoulos on his Seascape and Astrophotography Workshop on Saturday 20th June 2020.

In this workshop, we will be visiting three locations in the Mornington Peninsula. At the first two locations, you will learn all about long exposure seascape photography. Using a variety of both man-made and natural elements as our subject, you’ll discover how to manipulate your shutter speed to capture silky smooth water. After sunset, we will grab a quick bite to eat for dinner before heading to our third location for astrophotography if the sky is clear (weather permitting). Here you will learn about the fundamentals of astrophotography including how to manually focus your lens and use the 500 Rule for capturing tack sharp stars.

At the workshop, you will learn how to:

  • Take creative control over your camera’s shutter speed with square neutral density (ND) filters.

  • Use compositional techniques in your landscape photography to create captivating imagery.

  • Plan your sunset and astrophotography shoots around light and moon phases.

  • Photograph the night sky and galactic centre (weather permitting).

  • Master control of various camera modes and settings such as aperture priority and manual focusing, and learn how to read your camera’s histogram.

Strictly limited to 5 attendees, the small group structure of the workshop ensures that Dylan’s able to provide plenty of one on one tuition. The workshop is open to all photographers, not just Sony Alpha users. For more information about the event and to book your spot, please visit the link below.
